Just A Dream

“If you’ve ever loved somebody, put your hands up. Now they’re gone, and you’re wishing you could give them everything…” This is a lyric from Nelly’s ‘Just A Dream’. The version I listen to, though, is sung by Christina Gimmie and Sam Tsui, who’ve grown pretty famous from YouTube.
This song hits pretty close to home for me, because I can relate to virtually the whole thing. It’s about loving and losing, and the whole reality of the situation feels like a dream; you can never get that time together back, and everything you had seems so unreal now.
The fact is, there is no going back. You can’t change the decisions you’ve made, and you can’t have any do-overs. What’s done is done, and all you can do is learn from it and get better.
I know this isn’t the end of the world. That would be ridiculous. But it’s obviously very hard to get through.
I can lock the physical reminders away, but the memories I have will never be erased.
